Iced brown sugar cinnamon almond milk latte in a clear glass on a warm cream countertop

Bring cozy coffee-shop flavor home with this easy Brown Sugar Cinnamon Almond Milk Latte. It takes about five minutes, works hot or iced, and lets you choose how sweet to make it.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup strong brewed coffee or 2 shots espresso, regular or decaf
  • ¾ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1–2 teaspoons brown sugar, to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon, plus extra for topping
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ice, for the iced version

Instructions

  1. Brew the coffee or espresso.
  2. While the coffee is warm, stir in brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla until the sugar dissolves.
  3. For a hot latte: Warm and froth the almond milk, then pour it into the flavored coffee. Dust with a little cinnamon.
  4. For an iced latte: Fill a tall glass with ice, pour in almond milk, then add the flavored coffee. Stir and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Notes

Servings: 1. Time: About 5 minutes. Use decaf for a caffeine-free version, and check that your almond milk is unsweetened and soy-free if needed. For a creamier latte, choose a barista-style almond milk while checking its nutrition label.

Happy Heart Kitchen tip: Unsweetened almond milk generally keeps saturated fat low compared with cream, and making your latte at home makes it easy to adjust added sugar.
